Client
St Columba's Hospice in Edinburgh are committed to the highest standards of care for patients with active, progressive, far-advanced illness - and support for their relatives and carers.
Requirements
St Columba's Hospice wanted to refresh their site as it was looking tired and out of date. They also wanted to organise the information on their site so that it was easier to find, as the site had grown incrementally and was starting to be unwieldy. They asked that the new site should provide clear information to supporters about how they could help, and also wanted to make online donation a clear option for visitors.
Solution
Flame worked with St Columba's Hospice and users of the site to define the target audience into clear groups, and defined a site structure that clearly defined the needs of these different groups - people who visit the site because they need help from St Columba's Hospice, people who visit the site because they want to help, and people who visit the site because they want information about the organisation (including press).
We developed a visual design for the site which highlighted the work that the charity does, and used pictures of the real people that St Columba’s Hospice helps.

Flame helpfully trained my colleague and I so that we could make any simple changes to the website ourselves. More complex changes and page set-ups Flame handled efficiently and in a timely manner.
