If you don't already run a Website, registering a domain name with Flame Multimedia
lets you enjoy the benefits of email forwarding and Website forwarding — both part of the annual cost.
Not to mention the fact that nobody else can register your domain name.
This means you'll be able to:
- Point www.yourdomainname.me.uk to uk.geocities.yahoo.com/soho/joe_public_019/
- Publicise joe_public@yourdomainname.me.uk instead of joe_public_019@hotmail.com
- Receive forwarded email at your existing email address in the regular way
- Secure ownership of your domain name for two years before registering again
Even if you'll soon be running a Web site using your selected domain name, it's far easier to
put us in charge of the boring stuff, such as editing nameservers or IP addresses.
We'll contact a registrar and register the domain name in your name. Flame Multimedia
will be in charge of administration and billing. You'll get a fortnight to pay for your domain
name, which is easily and securely done online. Payment is also accepted by bank
transfer or cheque, although registration takes longer (add roughly 3 days for a bank
transfer and 7 days for a cheque).
Shortly after, you'll receive a certificate from the registrar, which proves the domain name belongs to you, or your company. Near the end of the first year of registration, you'll
receive an invoice for the remaining 12 months. If, after two years, you don't want to
register your domain name again, the name becomes available to others again.
But we'll remind you well in advance.
If you're having a Website developed (not necessarily by Flame Multimedia), we're
able to take care of the Web site hosting too. Domain names can even be registered
for future use
